WWE Has Big Plans For Austin Theory On Main Roster

By | October 5, 2021

WWE called up a few NXT Superstars to the main roster as part of the 2021 WWE Draft. Austin Theory left The Way and “ran away” to the main roster where he remained backstage and worked dark matches for a few weeks. Now he is officially on the red team and already making a name for himself.

Austin Theory approached Jeff Hardy in the ring this week on Raw where he asked for a selfie. Then Theory turned on Hardy and beat him down in a big way. That was followed by another selfie, this time with a laid-out Charismatic Enigma.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that WWE has “big plans for Austin Theory.” It was not noted exactly what those plans entail, but he is a heel on the red brand now.

The 24-year-old former EVOLVE standout already had a main roster run during the pandemic, but he was sent back to NXT. After a few months working in The Way stable, Theory is now back on the main roster with a new purpose and push.

Big E is on top of the roster as a babyface champion, and it’s not out of Vince McMahon’s bag of tricks to elevate a young star in a hurry. It appears that WWE is strapping a rocket to Austin Theory’s back in that regard. Stay tuned, because this could be a big time for the young Superstar’s career.
