WWE Keeping ‘All Options Open’ For Drew McIntyre’s Creative Future

By | September 10, 2021

Drew McIntyre was a sore loser on WWE Raw this week and he did a post-match beatdown on Sheamus. A lot of fans thought this was a sign that a heel turn is coming for the Scottish Warrior. At this point, WWE is keeping their options open.

Ringside News asked around about what is going on with Drew McIntyre. Reports surfaced that he was making a move to SmackDown, but then we discovered that WWE didn’t have any concrete Draft plans on the board as of September 1st.

A tenured member of the creative team told us that “all options are open” with Drew McIntyre. This includes “RAW, Smackdown. Heel, babyface.” It was explicitly noted that “Vince and Bruce may know,” but that information is not readily available internally.

We were also able to confirm that the policy is still in place where most Superstars can’t know about their own creative direction unless Bruce Prichard gives the green light to share. “It’s not an across the board mandate, but for the most part, yes,” a source stated to confirm the policy is still in place. It was not noted whether Drew McIntyre knows about his own creative future, or if he’s like Jeff Hardy and just shows up every week to see what they have for him.

It was previously confirmed that WWE will hold their draft on October 1st and 4th, so we will have to wait and see what WWE’s plan is for Drew McIntyre.
