Vince McMahon’s company has a lot going on, and it appears that fans might have a new show to consume soon enough.
WWE has filed for another trademark, and it appears that the NXT brand will be getting a new show shortly. The company filed a trademark application for “NXT: Next Level” for entertainment services with the US Patent and Trademark Office on February 9. The term’s definition can be read below.
NXT: LEVEL UP™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of a show about professional wrestling; the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports information.
WWE also filed Superstore Axxess as the most recent trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office this week. WWE revealed in January that during WrestleMania 38 Week, an unparalleled Superstore Axxess for fans will take place in the Dallas region.
WWE gets a huge chunk of revenue from their merchandise sales. Superstore Axxess registration is mostly for retail shop services. On the other hand, the particular plans for NXT: Next Level are currently unknown, although it will most likely air on digital platforms. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more updates on this.
