WWE Moves Up Hall Of Fame To Be Direct Competition With AEW Rampage

By | April 1, 2022

WWE’s 2022 Hall of Fame ceremony will air in direct competition with AEW Rampage. The show was originally slated to air at 10:30 PM eastern on Peacock. It has now been bumped up a half-hour to start at 10 PM, Mike Johnson of PW Insider confirmed.

There is heavy interest in this year’s HOF event. The Undertaker is set to be inducted after a legendary career. There are several other huge superstars slated to be immortalized as well.

The Hall of Fame show would have gone head-to-head with AEW Rampage regardless. This now slots it in direct competition for the full hour that Rampage airs. Ratings will not be the story, since Neilsen does not include streaming services in their tabulations.

It is still very interesting to see that WWE is going head-to-head with AEW. Additionally, Ring of Honor, which is now owned by Tony Khan, will be live on pay-per-view with Supercard of Honor at that time. There will be no shortage of wrestling-related programming after SmackDown ends.

This year’s inductees include The Steiner Brothers, Vader, and Queen Sharmell. Shad Gaspard will posthumously receive the 2022 Warrior Award. Gaspard sacrificed his life to save his son from drowning.

SmackDown kicks off on Fox at 8 PM. Rampage airs at 9. Supercard of Honor kicks off at 8. There are also several independent options for fans who would prefer to stream something a little different. WrestleMania weekend has a lot to offer for wrestling fans. The hardest part will be choosing what to watch.
