WWE Still Hasn’t Offered Karrion Kross a New Deal as Contract Nears Expiration

By | June 4, 2025

Karrion Kross is approaching the end of his WWE contract, and the company has yet to make a move.

According to Fightful Select, Kross is currently in the final months of his WWE contract—and the company hasn’t even opened talks about a renewal. Despite making headlines recently for his viral promo and speaking out on private contract details being leaked, WWE has reportedly not approached him with any sort of extension or indication of what’s next.

“Karrion Kross is in his contract year, and there hasn’t been much progress,” the report reads. “At the start of June, Fightful inquired with sources close to the situation and close to Kross about an update. Based on what we’ve heard, WWE has not yet approached Kross about a contract extension or renewal, and we haven’t heard if they’ve indicated interest in doing so.”

That silence has raised eyebrows—especially since Kross made headlines recently for venting about his contract situation being leaked online. While speaking with Ariel Helwani, Kross admitted that the breach still gets under his skin.

“Whoever did it. That put me over the edge because I think it happened online not long after AOP and Ellering were gone. It was like one thing after another, so I’m still pretty pissed about it. I don’t know who did it—it’s impossible to say—but I was kind of out of my mind at that moment. It really bothered me because it’s about privacy, you know what I mean? Who the hell was supposed to know about that?”

He added that the leak made him feel exposed and out of control.

“Stuff gets leaked all the time, so.”

WWE typically informs talent about expiring deals a month or two before they run out, either to start negotiations or to confirm a non-renewal. But so far, Kross hasn’t heard a thing. With his current deal expected to end this summer, that leaves a very small window for WWE to act—or let him walk.

If WWE is planning to keep Karrion Kross around, they’re cutting it close—and staying quiet while doing it. With his deal ticking down and no clear direction, the company risks losing a star who’s already fed up with behind-the-scenes drama. Whether Kross re-signs or walks, one thing’s clear: he’s not the type to stay silent if things go sideways.
