WWE Was Very Impressed With W. Morrisey’s AEW Dynamite Appearance

Big Cass was released from Vince McMahon’s company and he became W. Morrissey on the indies and Impact Wrestling. He made his AEW Dynamite debut this week, and despite his loss, WWE are said to have been very impressed with W. Morrisey’s appearance.

Morrisey currently wrestles primarily in Impact was brought in as MJF’s surprise opponent for Wardlow. He did a fine job, and impressed a whole lot of people watching.

According to Andrew Zarian on the latest episode of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, he heard from a number of people working for WWE who were very happy with what they saw from the former Big Cass.

“I got a couple of messages about him from people. People wanting to know when his contract ends.

“I’m not gonna say that WWE is gonna take him but I can tell you that WWE is definitely impressed by him. There’s no way around it, man. I got a message last night while he’s coming out and somebody wrote, ‘did you see this F’N guy?’”

The 35-year-old was released by WWE back in 2018 after struggling with substance abuse issues, but has done an incredible job overcoming his demons. He has done tremendous work in Impact following his arrival last year and it seems to be paying off.
