WWE Wasn’t Interested In Bringing X-Pac Back For 2022 Royal Rumble Match

By | February 2, 2022

Sean Waltman made his televised return to wrestling at The WRLD on GCW PPV event two weeks ago. Waltman fended off the attack on Joey Janela by Matt Cardona and Brian Myers.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently sat down with Sports Illustrated to talk about his upcoming appearance return to the squared circle. He also revealed he talked to WWE about a possible appearance at the Royal Rumble.

“As far as the Royal Rumble, I gave them a heads up I’d be ready if they wanted me,” Waltman says. “I wasn’t actively campaigning for it. I wasn’t going to do that. But I let them know, and I guess they weren’t interested.”

Waltman, 49, is set to make his in-ring return at GCW’s Welcome to Heartbreak PPV in Los Angeles. He will be teaming with Janela against Cardona and Myers on the February 25th event.

“I want to go out on my terms. My last matches, I was going through the greatest hits. It was all nostalgia. This is going to be different,” said the former D-Generation X member.
