All Elite Wrestling put up a solid show with St. Patrick’s Day Slam last night. The special edition of Dynamite saw two title defenses among a couple of other matches and segments.

According to Wrestlenomics, the March 16th St. Patrick’s Day Slam special brought in an overnight average of 993,000 viewers and a .38 in the 18 to 49 demographic for the Jacksonville-based promotion.

AEW pulled in impressive numbers for the show but failed to break the one million mark. That, however, did not stop President and CEO Tony Khan to tout his flagship sh0w’s numbers on social media. Then Khan followed that up with a second tweet that ran into left field with a little story about Bruiser Brody.

“Thank you everyone who watched #AEWDynamite St. Patrick’s Day Slam last night! We had a great audience even with huge competition from March Madness on our sister channel, + we’re back tomorrow with Friday Night #AEWRampage immediately after Houston/UAB on TNT @ ballpark 11:30pm!”

San Antonio fans were amazing for Dynamite, & they’ll bring that great energy to #AEWRampage tomorrow night after March Madness! Before Bruiser Brody was killed in 1988, my friend Keith Mitchell had plans with Brody to open a San Antonio territory, which could’ve been really cool

AEW will be holding Friday Night Rampage on a special time at 11:30 PM. The company announced several matches for the show on Dynamite. You can check the list of advertised matches right here.
