Kacy Catanzaro comes from American Ninja Warrior fame, but she has spent years training at the WWE Performance Center. Her unique set of abilities make her a standout and she has already competed in a Women’s Royal Rumble match in the past.
Kay Lee Ray was one of the mainstays of NXT UK’s women’s division, where she made a name for herself. She remains the longest-reigning champion in the brand, as she held the title for 649 days. It seems Kacy and Kay will be getting new names.
According to PWInsider, WWE NXT 2.0 superstars Kacy Catanzaro and Kay Lee Ray will be given new names in the future. Katana Chance will be Catanzaro’s new name. Alba Fyre will be the new name for KLR.
As previously reported, a number of WWE stars have lately changed their names. This is purportedly due to a new Vince McMahon directive prohibiting wrestlers from using their true identities or names from the independent circuit.
A member of the Legado del Fantasma stable in NXT 2.0, Raul Mendoza, has been given a new in-ring name by WWE. Name changes are recurring within WWE, Marcel Barthel and Raquel Gonzalez both debuted with new names when they were called up to SmackDown last Friday.
