WWE Has Various Options For Hell In A Cell Matches

By | May 10, 2022

Cody Rhodes was robbed of his shot at the WWE United States Championship on last night’s episode of Raw. Seth Rollins interfered to continue his feud with The American Nightmare. The pair appears headed for a third matchup in their ongoing rivalry.

The natural spot to end the feud would be inside Hell in a Cell. Several other major rivalries would also be appropriate for that type of match. With the event less than a month away, WWE has several options for what they can do inside the deranged structure.

Dave Meltzer talked about those options on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. The ongoing war between The Judgment Day and AJ Styles & Finn Balor would also make sense. So would the tag team title unification bout, but as of now, WWE doesn’t intend to unify those titles.

“They have to do a third match now, so what stip do you do? Could be Hell in a Cell, yeah. Doesn’t feel like there’s a Roman Reigns match ready.

I mean, you could do the Edge and Damian Priest against AJ Styles and Finn Balor [match]. You could put the tag team unification, but then somebody has to win. You can’t do a no contest in a Hell in a Cell. I mean, I guess they probably could. They can always find a way to do something.”

Hell in a Cell is now less than a month away. We will know soon enough what WWE plans to do as far as which and how many matches take place inside the cell. There are a few ways it could go, including the potential for multiple HIAC matches.
