Ahead of The Last of Us Season 1 finale premiere this Sunday, a brand-new photo from the horror drama’s upcoming Episode 9 titled “Look for the Light” has been released, teasing another flashback sequence. The photo featured Ashley Johnson as a distressed pregnant woman named Anna, who has been confirmed to be Ellie’s mother.
For viewers who are not familiar with the show’s source material, Johnson is a significant part of The Last of Us franchise. She originally voiced the character of Ellie Williams in both installments of Naughty Dog’s bestselling video game series. Besides Johnson, other voice actors from The Last of Us games had already made their appearance in the HBO series including Troy Baker, Jeffrey Pierce, and Merle Dandrige.
