The Paramount+ with Showtime release date and price have been revealed, allowing subscribers to know ahead of time just how much the updated service will cost.
What is the Paramount+ with Showtime release date?
Variety is reporting that Paramount+ with Showtime will launch on June 27. The standalone Showtime app will be shut down by the end of this year to go alongside this decision, making the merged Paramount+ with Showtime the ideal way to watch Showtime content.
The price for Paramount+ with Showtime will be $11.99 — $2 higher than the premium tier plan currently is. Meanwhile, Paramount+ without Showtime will cost $5.99.
“This summer, Paramount+ will officially become the streaming home for Showtime, further advancing our lead in being the total household service,” Tom Ryan, President & CEO Paramount Streaming said in a statement. “By integrating the Showtime premium and critically acclaimed portfolio with the service’s already broad and popular slate, all at a competitive price, we will solidify Paramount+ as a cornerstone in streaming.”
The move was first announced back in January, though little detail involving the price or anything beyond a basic release window was given at that time.
