GOODISON PARK, LIVERPOOL — Everton are playing for Premier League survival on the final day of the 2022/23 season.
Thanks to Yerry Mina’s last-gasp equaliser at Wolves last time out, Sean Dyche’s side head into this fixture against Bournemouth at Goodison Park knowing that their fate is in their own hands. Win the match, and they will be certain of avoiding relegation; a draw or a defeat, however, could open the door for Leicester City or Leeds United to move above them and send the Toffees down to the Championship for the first time since 1951.
Bournemouth have long since secured their place in the Premier League for next season, but they will be keen to finish the campaign on a positive note after three consecutive defeats. Striker Dominic Solanke, formerly of Liverpool, would relish the chance to end a three-game goal drought in such a huge game for the Toffees.

Everton vs Bournemouth live updates, highlights from Premier League
1 hour 30 mins to KO: Three years ago, Bournemouth came to Goodison Park on the final day of the Premier League season and were relegated. There has been a suggestion that Gary O’Neil’s players could be particularly fired up for today given the memories of 2020, although it’s worth remembering that they actually won that game. It’s hard to take revenge for a 3-1 victory.
