By | June 11, 2025

The June 11 edition of AEW Dynamite went down at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. There were a lot of things going on, including setting up next week’s show.

Next week’s AEW Dynamite will take place in Mexico, and the card is loaded. MJF will wrestle a Mexican wrestling legend, but some WWE fans may now Mistico by a different name.

During this week’s AEW Dynamite, MJF and Mistico had a confrontation after the masked star won his AEW return match in clean fashion. The Hurt Syndicate came down to troll them, and MJF also had a chance to run his mouth.

Mistico revealed that he will face MJF next week on AEW Dynamite in Arena Mexico. That is when MJF fired his biggest verbal shot.

The Salt of the Earth threw shade at Mistico’s run in WWE as the first Sin Cara. MJF said that he only knows Mistico as a “sloppy Sin Cara.” Fans who knew immediately understood how low of a blow that was.

In case you didn’t know, Mistico was released from WWE in 2013. This was due to a mix of reasons, including a wellness policy violation, difficulty adjusting to WWE’s style, and reportedly not wanting to learn English. After his release, Hunico took over the Sin Cara role. He continued portraying the character until he was released in 2019.

We will keep a close eye on this story to see what’s next. If anything, it only proves that MJF isn’t afraid to throw shade whenever he can.
