The Chicago Bears have something special cooking this season, and quarterback Caleb Williams is a big reason for that.
While he certainly hasn’t been perfect, Williams has definitely taken a big step forward in his second season and now the Bears are going to the divisional round after beating the Green Bay Packers in stunning fashion on Saturday night.
A big reason for Williams’ advancement is head coach Ben Johnson, who has done wonders for Chicago as a whole in his first season at the helm.
Williams made sure to mention that after the 31-27 victory over Green Bay, when he addressed the team and spoke about Johnson’s impact on him before handing the Bears head coach a well-deserved game ball.
“For me personally, I’m getting a little emotional — he’s been monumental in my life,” Williams said of Johnson.

Johnson’s No. 1 priority going into the season was getting more out of Williams, and he has certainly accomplished that and much, much more.
The Bears have far exceeded expectations in Johnson’s first season and the helm and the reality is Chicago is playing with house money from here on out.
But the Bears aren’t satisfied with one playoff win and will look to keep the good times rolling in the divisional round next weekend.
