Music is a huge part of baseball, from walk-up songs to pitcher entrance music, but no song is as important as each team’s closer’s entrance song.
Closers are meant to be the most intimidating player on each team, as their job is to shut down the final three batters of the game. Therefore, they need an intimidating entrance music to make the crowd go wild and create and electric atmosphere.
Therefore, some closers have better entrance choices than others, as the songs typically pair well with their pitching style. Here’s a ranking of the six best closer entrances in baseball this year.

Ranking best MLB closer entrances in 2026

6. Andres Munoz, Mariners
- Song: “Pepas” by Farruko
Seattle Mariners closer Andres Munoz is the best pitcher in one of the best bullpens in the league, so he of course needs a great entrance. Munoz uses “Pepas” by Farruko, which gets the Seattle crowd going ahead of the ninth inning.

5. David Bednar, Yankees
- Song: “Renegade” by Styx
David Bednar, a native of Pittsburgh, is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and adopted “Renegade” as his closer entrance while playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Unsurprisingly, Pirates fans went all-in on the entrance that tied the football and baseball teams together.
If David Bednar is going to be the Yankees’ closer moving forward, we NEED his Renegade entrance at Yankee Stadium🔥

Since Bednar was traded to the New York Yankees, he hasn’t been able to replicate the kind of hype “Renegade” brought the city of Pittsburgh, but that could change in 2026 as he takes over New York’s closer job full-time.

4. Ryan Helsley, Orioles
- Song: “Hells Bells” by AC/DC
Ryan Helsley enters the game to “Hells Bells” a fitting choice in both style and substance as it fits his name. The AC/DC song has a perfect pace for a closer’s entrance, before even taking into account that the title of the song matches Helsley’s last name.

Helsley was a star closer for the St. Louis Cardinals for most of his career, and now closes games for the Baltimore Orioles. The Cardinals used to use all red lights for Helsley to create an even scarier vibe.
Wrapping up the annual baseball trip, this time to St. Louis. A wet trip with a postponement and rain delays, the emptiest city I’ve ever spent time in, but great times had. Red stadium pano courtesy of Helsley entrance. pic.twitter.com/5k5MpQIitP

3. Edwin Diaz, Dodgers
- Song: “Narcos” by Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet
Edwin Diaz’s entrance peaked with the New York Mets, as his use of “Narcos” became a soundtrack to the successful 2022 team. In fact, the team even brought in Timmy Trumpet, who is featured on the song, for a live performance in an August game.

When Diaz signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers ahead of the 2026 season, the Dodgers decided to use a live trumpet player as well, but it doesn’t quite live up to the original.

2. Mason Miller, Padres
- Song: “Blind” by Korn
Mason Miller’s entrance with the San Diego Padres is the most popular to begin the 2026 season. Miller jogs into the game using “Blind” by Korn, with the only lyrics of the song used being “Are You Ready!?”

Miller is perhaps the scariest closer in baseball, so he, of course, needed a heavy metal song to intimidate the opponents every game.

1. Jhoan Duran, Phillies
- Song: “El Incomprendido” by Farruko, “Hot” by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee
Philadelphia Phillies closer Jhoan Duran is the only closer whose entrance was traded with him during the season. Duran went from the Minnesota Twins to the Phillies in 2025, and his entrance was so popular that the Phillies had to make sure they got the full production from the Twins staff.

Duran enters with a combination of “El Incomprendido” by Farruko and “Hot” by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee. Duran, whose nickname is the Durantula, also enters with a tarantula as part of the theatrics.
