Not only is Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic the best player in the world, but he’s also an entertaining personality who’s 100% authentic at all times.
Before the start of the Nuggets’ Sunday night clash against the struggling Golden State Warriors, Jokic received a heartfelt compliment from WNBA/Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
“Honestly, he’s (Jokic) probably my favorite player to watch,” Clark stated. “And I think he’s the best player in the world.”
Hilariously, Jokic sent a 10-word message to Clark after her kind gesture.
“We have the same agent,” Jokic said after Denver’s dominant 48-28 win over Golden State. “That’s why she said it.”
Jokic isn’t lying. Excel Sports management represents both Jokic and Clark as of Apr. 3, which could certainly have something to do with Clark’s high praise for the three-time MVP.
However, it’s highly unlikely, considering Clark isn’t the only person in the basketball community to express that sentiment. Jokic is dominant in every way imaginable, as his incredible feel for the game, anticipation chops, low-post brilliance, perimeter shooting, pristine ball-handling/playmaking for his size, and high-level rebounding make him the No. 1 player in basketball.
Jokic is averaging 27.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 10.8 assists per game, shooting 57.2% from the field and 38.7% from beyond the arc on a Nuggets team poised to earn a top-5 seed in the Western Conference.
Simply put, Jokic is a generational player who isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, which Clark wisely acknowledged on Sunday.
