Randy Orton has a lot of respect within the WWE locker room and he is regarded as one of the best that the company has to offer. On the other side of the ocean Kazuchika Okada commands a ton of respect in NJPW, and Killian Dain would compare the two with each other.
While speaking to Riju Dasgupta, Killian Dain was asked about who he would like to face outside of WWE. He was recently let go from NXT as part of the company’s latest releases. He compared Kazuchika Okada to Randy Orton while discussing the opportunities and great opponents that he has available to him outside of WWE. Obviously, there are a few people Dain would love to wrestle, and it sounds like he has his eye on NJPW.
“That’s a question! Well, I mean, so I’ve been a fan of Shingo for such a long time. I followed him in Dragon Gate, so watching how he has evolved as a wrestler has been incredible. So he would be an interesting one, obviously. Okada is one I never got a chance to wrestle. Okada is; he is just such a perfect wrestler. He is like what Randy Orton is to American wrestling; Okada is to Japanese wrestling; they are just so good at everything. Then also the likes of Kenny Omega and stuff like that, a wonderful person to wrestle with. But if you put a gun to my head and tell who I’d love to wrestle the most, it would be Tomohiro Ishii. I wrestled him in 2015, and it was one of the best experiences of my career, and I’d definitely love to do it again at the drop of a hat.”
We will have to see what happens in this situation. There has been no word about any interest from other companies about bringing in Killian Dain, but he is also still under a WWE non-compete clause. Of course, you never know about those non-compete clauses anymore, because Aleister Black was able to appear in AEW just 35 days after his WWE release due to a major clerical error in his contract.
