Neil Sandilands Shares His Idea for The Thinker’s Return to The Flash

Neil Sandilands is currently the main villain in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, but the talented actor is open to returning to an old role down the line. Sandilands gained praise for his portrayal of The Thinker on The CW’s The Flash, and while the character met his maker during his run, there’s always a chance for a return in a comic book series (especially when multiple timelines get involved).

“We kind of joked about [a return happening],” Sandilands told ComingSoon. “Eric [Wallace] and Todd [Helbing], the showrunners at the time. You know, how can we make this happen? I had a particularly pleasant time working with David McWhirter. We went like, “Hey, we got, gotta do this. We’ve got to bring that back.” And we were thinking about ways to do that. They’re delightful, a super talented writing team. I’m sure they can come up with something.”

Sandilands already has a great idea for The Thinker’s return that involves artificial intelligence.

“I would imagine that either there would be something like in a pre-history or the idea of A.I. and where that is going. DeVoe, maybe he morphed into some form of artificial intelligence. Yeah. I don’t know. That’s a creative solution, but it would be grand and lovely to come back as DeVoe and shoot in Vancouver again.”
