Cut together with some footage we’ve seen in past trailers, the latest trailer also shows off more of the game, including Star-Lord’s life back on Earth, some additional characters, and even an astronaut dog that the group meets in the story.

You can check out the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer below:

Alongside some new looks at gameplay in the trailer, the Universal Church of Truth once again makes a huge appearance, as the Guardians are taken to meet the mysterious Matriarch. According to Eidos Montreal, the Matriarch aims to share the “truth” with the Guardians, although things predictably don’t go well for the group.

It’s still unclear just who Raker or the Universal Church of Truth are, but it seems like they’ll be playing somewhat of a part in the larger story of the game. According to a previous gameplay showcase shown off by Eidos, the game looks to have some sort of small dialogue choice system where players can choose who to side with and what to say at specific times.
