In the extended format starting this round, Dirk van Duijvenbode managed to fend off a comeback effort from Gary Anderson to advance to the semifinals.
In the second match, Luke Littler faced pressure early on from Josh Rock, but found a couple of breaks of throw and cruised to the finish line after that.
