No. 2 Purdue is facing No. 7 Miami (FL) in the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, but may have to finish the game without one of its best players.
Guard C.J. Cox went down hard on the court in the second half. He was trying to avoid contact as he went down the lane, attempting a layup. Cox was contacted by two different Miami defenders and ended up spinning, and it looked like he may have tweaked something when his right leg planted before his layup attempt.
Cox went to the ground after the play and instantly grabbed his knee.
Here are the latest injury updates for Cox, who left Purdue’s second-round game against Miami with a right knee injury.
