The Vancouver Canucks are expected to be one of the NHL’s biggest sellers before Friday’s trade deadline.
That doesn’t mean their fans have lost their sense of humor, though.
On Monday night, Canucks fans started an incredible chant: “We want the Cup!”
Hopefully they mean something other than the Stanley Cup, because that seems just a bit out of reach.
canucks fans starting “we want the cup” chants at rogers arena down 5-1 against the stars, and with only 2 wins in 2026… you can call canucks fans many things but you cannot say we don’t have a sense of humour

The Canucks have now played 60 games this season. They have won 18. They’ve lost 35 in regulation, and another seven in overtime.
Their negative-71 goal differential is the worst in the NHL by 19 goals.
This is a team that has never won the Stanley Cup.
They made it in 1982, and 1994, and 2011. They were swept by the Islanders in ’82, then lost in seven games to the Rangers and the Bruins in their next two appearances.
The Canucks have had strong eras. They had the best regular season record in back to back seasons (2010-11, 2011-12).
This, though, is not one of those times. They’re looking toward a total rebuild.
The fans are loyal, though, albeit well aware of the straits they find themselves in.
Might as well have fun with it, because the product on the ice isn’t necessarily providing that fun by itself.
