Britt Reid, who served as assistant linebackers coach for the Chiefs and is the son of head coach Andy Reid, is no longer with the organization after his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash that injured two children on Feb. 4, per reports.

Reid, who admitted to having had some drinks when questioned by police, was not arrested in the incident. He did not travel with the team to Tampa, Fla., for Super Bowl 55.

Reid has not been charged with a crime.

The multi-vehicle crash, which occurred on the Thursday night before Super Bowl 55, injured two children. A 5-yea-old girl was left in critical condition with a brain injury. The other, a 4-year-old, was left with injuries not considered life threatening.

Reid crashed into a stalled car while leaving the Chiefs’ team facility, according to police. There are questions surrounding when Reid started drinking; had he been drinking at the Chiefs’ facility, it would be in violation of the league’s alcohol policy.

Reid was arrested on a DUI charge in 2007 stemming from a road-rage incident.
