Damac vs. Al Nassr live score, updates, highlights as Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line in Saudi Pro League

By | February 25, 2023

Cristiano Ronaldo will look to fire Al Nassr to the top of the Saudi Pro League when they travel to Damac on Saturday.

After a slow start to life at his new club, Ronaldo scored all the goals as Rudi Garcia’s side beat Al Wehda 4-0 before chipping in with both assists in the 2-1 victory against Al Taawoun last weekend.

Leaders Al Ittihad drew 0-0 at home to Al Raed on Thursday, leaving them with a slender one-point lead over second-placed Al Nassr at the summit, having played a game more.

Kresimir Rezic’s Damac are without a win in three matches and lie seventh in the table.

Sporting News is following the match live and providing live score updates and commentary.

2 hours from kickoff: Hello and welcome to The Sporting News’ live coverage of Damac vs. Al Nassr. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury might be the talk of Saudi Arabia this weekend but, for Saturday evening at least, Cristiano Ronaldo will once again take centre stage.

Damac vs. Al Nassr lineups

Kresimir Rezic’s side are without a win in three matches and lie seventh in the table. In a 2-0 defeat at Khaleej last time out, the Croatian coach reverted to a 5-4-1 system and might be tempted to similarly pack defensive areas against Ronaldo and Co. despite being at home.

Damac lineup (4-4-2): Zeghba (GK) — Bedrane, Chafai, Al-Ammar, Hassoun  — Al-Nakhli, Maher, Antolic, Al-Shammeri — Makeen, Hamzi

Talisca returned from suspension as a second-half substitute during Al Nassr’s win over Al Taawoun. Expect the Brazilian forward to return to the starting XI, working on his burgeoning link-up with Ronaldo in attack.

Al Nassr lineup (4-2-3-1):  Al-Aqidi (GK) — Al-Ghannam, Al-Amri, Madu, Konan— Gustavo, Al-Hassan — Yahya, Talisca, Ghareeb — Ronaldo
