Eagles’ Jalen Hurts gets brutally honest regarding potential A.J. Brown trade

By | May 27, 2026

A.J. Brown’s future with the Philadelphia Eagles is the team’s biggest offseason storyline.

So understandably, people want to know how the players feel about the consistent speculation regarding Brown’s future in Philly.

Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked about a potential Brown trade during a media session at voluntary OTAs this week, and he made it clear that a possible trade doesn’t alter the team’s approach to the upcoming 2026 season or erase all the success that the Eagles enjoyed with Brown over the past four seasons.

“For us, we’re only focused on learning the offense. It really doesn’t change in terms of our approach to improve,” Hurts said. “There’s an ‘if’ — obviously it’s been a lingering thing, but nothing can replace all of the greatness that we achieved together.”

Some have suggested that the once-strong relationship between Hurts and Brown has deteriorated, and that’s at least part of the reason why Brown is interested in continuing his career elsewhere. However, Hurts denied any rift between the two and said that he’s very happy for Brown for his offseason nuptials.

“Nothing’s changed. … We’re really good,” Hurts said of his relationship with Brown. “I saw how beautiful the pictures came out at his wedding. I’m very happy for him and his wife and his family. It’s a beautiful thing to step into convenance so I was very excited and congratulatory towards that.”
