Falcons DE Charles Harris ejected for hit on Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater

After putting up a perfect 158.3 passer rating in the first half, Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater was momentarily knocked out of the game after a pair of illegal hits by the Falcons late in the third quarter.

Bridgewater was in the middle of scrambling to evade pressure when Dante Fowler Jr. stuck out his leg and kicked him in the knee. Then, as Bridgewater fell to the ground, Charles Harris dove in helmet first, appearing to injure Bridgewater’s neck.

Harris was flagged for unneccessary roughness and was ejected from the game. Fowler was flagged for tripping, which was declined.

Bridgewater returned on the Panthers’ next drive in the fourth quarter.
