Tij Iginla is playing on an entirely different level than everyone else in the CHL.

In the last 12 games he has played, he has 31 points.

He’s averaging 1.95 points per game this season, too. He plays for the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League, which is a part of the CHL umbrella.

Yes, Tij is the son of Calgary Flames legend Jarome Iginla.

Tij is also already an NHL draft pick.

The Utah Mammoth chose him No. 6 overall in the 2024 NHL Draft.

They’ve chosen to keep him in Kelowna since the pick to continue his development with a full slate of playing time.

At this point, Tij looks ready.

It’ll be fascinating to see where Utah chooses to start Tij at the beginning of the 2026-27 season. Could he push for an NHL roster spot? It seems so.

If not, he’ll definitely be due for AHL action.

For now, he keeps dominating at the level he’s at.
