Klint Kubiak’s comments on Maxx Crosby are bad news for Bears, Lions, Cowboys

By | February 10, 2026

The Las Vegas Raiders introduced Klint Kubiak as their new head coach on Tuesday, and during the press conference, Kubiak broke his silence on the trade rumors surrounding superstar edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

Crosby’s future in Las Vegas has come into question over the last week, as FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer recently said that the five-time Pro Bowler is done as a Raider, and the end-of-season drama with the handling of his knee injury has also added fuel to the fire.

However, Kubiak spoke about Crosby at his introductory press conference and stated that they’ve already begun spending time with each other and building a player-coach relationship.

“I got to a cup of coffee with Maxx this morning. Love talking with him. And look forward to continuing those conversations. He was the first one in here working out. So that fired me up,” Kubiak said via Ryan McFadden of ESPN.

“We want him to be a part of our success going forward, there’s no doubt about that,” Kubiak added via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

It sounds like Crosby is still committed to the Raiders and is looking forward to the future under Kubiak, which is horrible news for the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Dallas Cowboys.

Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas are potential suitors for Crosby in a trade for Las Vegas, as all three teams need pass-rushing help and have the assets to pull off a trade for the superstar defender.

However, it’s looking more and more likely that Crosby remains with the Raiders in 2026, so the Bears, Lions, and Cowboys will have to find other ways to address their pass-rushing needs.
