KING POWER STADIUM, LEICESTER — Arsenal have the chance to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, if they can beat Leicester City this afternoon.
The Gunners’ title charge looked to be unravelling just 10 days ago, with a 3-1 home loss to rivals Manchester City seeing them drop to second spot, following dropped points against both Brentford and Everton beforehand.
However, the rollercoaster ride of a race to the league trophy saw momentum swing back in Arsenal’s favour last weekend. A dramatic late comeback at Aston Villa felt extremely significant for the manner of the win, especially when coupled with City’s draw at Nottingham Forest.
After those huge results in the Midlands seven days ago, Mikel Arteta’s men return to the region to face a Foxes side that demolished Tottenham Hotspur here 4-1 in their last home game.

Leicester vs. Arsenal live updates, highlights from Premier League
1 hour to KO: Team news is in… and Eddie Nketiah drops to the bench! The striker is presumably rotated for fitness reasons after his recent run in the side following Gabriel Jesus’ injury, with Gabriel Martinelli set to play centrally after missing out on the starting XI at Villa last week.

1 hour 20 mins to KO: Usually, this fixture would spark fear into Arsenal defenders through one man: Jamie Vardy. The former England striker has scored more goals against the Gunners (11) than any other team.
However, Vardy is likely to be on the bench today having lost his place to Kelechi Iheanacho amidst a steep drop in form. Indeed, he’s netted just once in the Premier League this season, in a 4-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers way back in October.
1 hour 40 mins to KO: Welcome to The Sporting News’ live coverage from a cold East Midlands afternoon, as Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
While all eyes are on the visitors’ title push, Leicester could use the points for some breathing room in the battle against relegation. They’ve recovered relatively well from an awful start to the season, but in 14th place, still sit only four points clear of the drop-zone.

Leicester vs. Arsenal lineups
Rodgers’ injury picture remains unchanged ahead of this game with Jonny Evans, James Justin and Ryan Bertrand all still sidelined.
However, on the back of defeat at Old Trafford, he could look to reshuffle his options, with Youri Tielemans coming back in to start.
Leicester City starting XI (4-2-3-1): Ward (GK) — Castagne, Faes, Souttar, Kristiansen — Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall — Tete, Maddison, Barnes — Iheanacho
Leicester City subs: Iversen (GK), Mendy, Ndidi, Soumare, Vardy, Daka, Praet, Pereira, Amartey
Arteta will make a late call on Thomas Partey after he missed the previous two games with a back issue, and Gabriel Martinelli could rotate back in ahead of Leandro Trossard.
Arsenal starting XI (4-3-3): Ramsdale (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko — Odegaard, Jorginho, Xhaka — Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
Arsenal subs: Turner (GK), Holding, Tierney, Tomiyasu, Partey, Smith Rowe, Trossard, Vieira, Nelson
