After winning his first NFL start two weeks ago, Shedeur Sanders endured his first loss last week when the Cleveland Browns fell to the San Francisco 49ers.

However, despite that, head coach Kevin Stefanski is committed to Sanders as the team’s starting quarterback. Next up for Sanders is the Tennessee Titans, led by fellow rookie quarterback Cam Ward.

Sanders and Ward will always be linked, as they went through the 2025 NFL Draft process together. While Sanders fell all the way to the fifth round, Ward was taken first overall by the Titans as the team’s unquestioned franchise quarterback of the future.

As Sanders looks to prove his worth in the NFL, he surely wants to outplay Ward in this game in Cleveland. The Browns should have an advantage, as the Titans are the only team in the NFL that hasn’t won more than one game in the league this year.

Therefore, Sanders would like to lead a favored Browns team onto the field, but this game will be all about the rookie quarterbacks. In all likelihood, whichever quarterback plays better will earn his second win in the NFL.

The Sporting News is tracking Shedeur Sanders’ live stats and highlights from Browns vs. Titans on Sunday afternoon. Follow along for updates.
