TCU vs Virginia turned out to be the most competitive game of the day. While some games fall under the category of the game was closer than the score would indicate, this was not that. The 79-69 score was a solid indication of the game.

The game began poised to have ‘instant classic’ potential. The game was remarkably close in the first half. Both teams trading baskets and leads were never larger than seven. After halftime, TCU began to create wider leads. With five minutes left in the 3rd, TCU built a ten-point lead. Virginia could never get closer than down by eight.

TCU’s Marta Suarez and Olivia Miles were just too much to overcome. Miles tonight, as she has all season, flirted with a triple double. 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
