What channel is Bears vs. Patriots on today? Schedule, time for ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 7

By | October 24, 2022

An arrow is pointing up for a quarterback, while another one points down on “Monday Night Football.”

If you were to tell NFL fans prior to the start of the 2022 season that a Bears quarterback and a Patriots quarterback were heading in opposite directions, few could have predicted exactly how the situations would play out.

Justin Fields is playing with a half deck in Chicago, but the sophomore quarterback still bears a brunt of the blame for his poor 2022 season. While he’s shown flashes of elite athleticism and escapability, Fields hasn’t done enough to help the Bears offense navigate its troubles, and vice versa.

On the other hand, there was a quarterback who looks to be on the ascent in New England, and it’s not Mac Jones.

As the 2021 first-round pick rehabbed an ankle injury, 2022 fourth-round pick Bailey Zappe took the job by the throat, thanks to his 309-yard, two-touchdown performance vs. the Browns in Week 6. But, with Jones healthy again, Zappe heads to the bench. For how long? Well, that depends on if Jones can exorcise his early-season woes and get back on the winning path from 2021.
