By | July 25, 2025

Apple TV+ has finally announced the release date for its newest sci-fi drama series titled Pluribus, which hails from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. This marks Gilligan’s TV comeback in nearly three years since Better Call Saul had wrapped up its six-season run. In addition, the streamer has also shared its first teaser trailer, featuring a woman eerily licking a bunch of donuts which are meant to be given away to others.

“The series is a genre-bending original in which the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness,” reads the initial logline.

When is the Breaking Bad creator’s new show out?

Pluribus is now scheduled to make its debut on November 7, 2025 with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by new episodes every Friday through December 26. Ahead of its series premiere, the show has already scored an early Season 2 renewal.

The nine-episode series reunites Gilligan with Better Call Saul vet Rhea Seehorn, who has signed on for the leading role of Carol. For her performance in the acclaimed Breaking Bad spin-off, Seehorn earned two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Joining her are Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete) and Carlos Manuel Vesga (The Hijacking of Flight 601), with Miriam Shor (American Fiction) and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death) serving as guest stars. It is executive produced by Gilligan, Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, Jeff Frost, Jenn Carroll, and Trina Siopy. It is a production by Sony Pictures Television.
