As Netflix gears up for the second part of the sixth and final season of The Crown, the streamer has released a new poster featuring Meg Bellamy and Ed McVey as Kate Middleton and Prince William, respectively.
Set to premiere on the streaming platform on December 14, The Crown Season 6 Part 2 is expected to feature not only Prince William’s time at the University of Saint Andrews — where he met Kate Middleton, his future wife — but will also highlight Prince Charles’ (played by Dominic West) wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles (Olivia Williams).

What to expect from The Crown Season 6, Part 2?
The first part of Season 6 centered on Princess Diana’s budding relationship with Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla) before the fatal car crash in Paris, France. The first part of The Crown Season 6 premiered on the platform on November 16. Part 2 premieres on December 14.
Ushering in a new era for the royal family, the second part will heavily focus on what transpired after Princess Diana’s (played by Elizabeth Debicki) tragic death in 1997. It will also highlight the start of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s romance. The second part may also dive into Princess Margaret’s (played by Lesley Manville) death in 2002.
The synopsis for The Crown Season 6, Part 2 reads: “Prince William tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairytale in William and Kate.”
The Crown Season 6 also stars Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Luther Ford as Prince Harry, Bertie Carvel as Tony Blair, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne, Matilda Broadbridge as Pippa Middleton, and Marcia Warren as the Queen Mother.
