How to Make Your First Mario Kart Live Experience a Smooth One

This portion of the Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit guide will address troubleshooting questions such as kart issues (kart not turning), connection issues, and more.

Kart Is Not Turning Correctly

If the kart is not turning correctly it may be clogged with debris or hair. Here’s how to clean it.

  1. Remove the rubber wheels. Be sure to put place them on the side together because the front wheels are different than the back. If you mix them up, don’t worry! Just make sure the smaller wheels are placed back on the front and the larger ones are on the back.
  2. Take a pair of tweezers and use it to remove the hair.
  3. Put the rubber wheels back on. Make sure they’re completely on, covering the yellow, or else the kart won’t drive correctly.

The Laps Aren’t Not Being Counted Correctly

If your laps are not being counted correctly you may have made your turns, leading to the gate, too tight. Do not position it like this.

Set it up like this. Create wider turns so that it enters the gate on a straightaway.

Connection Error

Connection errors can happen if the kart goes too far from the Switch. Nintendo recommends a distance of 5 meters. While I was able to go further than that if connection issues occur try using the switch in handheld mode and sitting in the center of the course.
