AEW Dynamite will present their first episode of the year this week, and New Year’s Smash night 1 will be a big night. This event was postponed from last week due to the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life.
Kenny Omega will defend the AEW World Heavyweight Title against Fenix. Also, Hikaru Shida will defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Abadon.
Other big matches include Jake Hager vs Wardlow, and The Young Bucks and SCU vs The Acclaimed and The Hybrid 2. Cody Rhodes vs. Matt Sydal will also be featured on tonight’s card.
