By | June 5, 2021

AEW Double or Nothing was a big night for the company. They were also able to cash in while they were at it. New reports coming in about the company’s earnings show that it was a good night at Daily’s Place.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the May 30th event racked in around $6 million in gross revenue for the company. This includes the estimated 115,000 pay-per-view buys that they company sold across all platforms.

This figure places AEW Double or Nothing 2021 as the second-highest grossing event after Revolution in March. That event had an exploding barbed wire cage match to attract extra interest.

It was broken down that AEW Double or Nothing saw 80,500 domestic pay-per-view buys with 34,500 coming from international fans. The $50 price tag plus the 45% split that the company gets generated $1.8 million for pay-per-view buys. They also had $71,000 in venue merchandise sold, which equals out to be around $15 per fan in Daily’s Place.

The 4,700 gate drew around $300,000 according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The final tally stated that AEW generated around $6.1 million in gross revenue, and they net around $3 million of it. Net revenue is not the same as profit. It was still a rather impressive figure for AEW to pull in as they continue building their company.
