Matt Hardy Says Vince McMahon Is Hard To Speak With Unlike Tony Khan

By | December 21, 2021

Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in various promotions in his career. He is currently under his Big Money Matt persona in AEW and remains a highlight. It seems he opened up about working with Vince McMahon and Tony Khan.

On the other hand, Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and has the final say in everything that goes on in the company, down to the most minute of details. His way of handling business doesn’t always sit well with WWE Superstars.

While speaking with Essentially Sports, Matt Hardy talked about AEW President Tony Khan’s mentality regarding his company and how it differs from Vince McMahon. Hardy said that McMahon is hard to speak with unlike Tony Khan.

“I think AEW is very special because the mentality that AEW uses, starting from Tony Khan, all the way down. They don’t really try and force people into a hierarchy or rein by fear, and everyone is allowed to feel comfortable. If you have an issue, you can talk to anyone. Tony Khan is so accessible. If you need to address Tony Khan, then you can speak to him. Where at WWE, it’s quite the opposite with Vince. Vince is very hard to be able to speak with, and I feel like Tony has the mindset of a current wrestling fan in 2021. It’s just a comfortable family environment where if you need to speak out or address something, you can. Everybody’s comfortable at AEW. It really does feel like a very big family.”

Matt Hardy is certainly more than happy working in AEW and it is unlikely he will make his way back to WWE anytime soon as he simply prefers working with Tony Khan.
