WWE signed Benjamin Carter to a contract when there was definite interest from AEW as well. Carter is now a featured performer on WWE’s NXT UK brand. He was taught by Seth Rollins and The Messiah is very happy for his student.
While speaking to WWE The Bump, Rollins spoke about Ben Carter, who learned the ropes at the Black & Brave Wrestling Academy. Rollins said that he spoke to Carter when WWE was trying to rope him into a deal, and it reminded him of when he had his first contract talks a decade ago.
“Talking to Ben Carter when he was negotiating with WWE was so funny to me, because it reminded me of when I was doing it a decade ago. Just to see a kid fulfill a dream and for you to know you’ve played a part in that is really a cool thing.”
Benjamin Carter’s time in WWE is just getting started, and he is in WWE’s NXT UK brand. There is a lot of space between Rollins and Carter, but you never know how someone with Ben Carter’s talents might be utilized on the main roster some day. That might provide a chance for a student and teacher moment in the pro wrestling ring.
