WWE made the call to axe a number of employees this week and NXT was gutted in a big way. It didn’t take long for fans to realize that Triple H’s favorites were targeted in this round of cuts.
Ringside News exclusively reported that this was personal. Triple H’s people were the focus of these firings, because they wanted to cleanse the brand to start over. The big question is how far the cuts will go and what they are going to change next.
As fans discuss these cuts, Shawn Michaels’ name is entering the conversation. He is obviously one of Triple H’s people, so many fans are talking about the Heartbreak Kid today.
Some fans are wondering if HBK will be next in line for a release. Others are cracking jokes about how Shawn Michaels might have lost his smile this week when he went back to work and everyone was gone.
We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation. As of this writing Shawn Michaels is still with the WWE Performance Center. At this rate WWE would have to try really hard to surprise us with a release.
