WWE legend The Undertaker has retired from the world of pro-wrestling, giving his final farewell at Survivor Series a couple of years ago. Taker still comes out with appearances from time to time, and now he’s looking forward to appearing at the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.
NASCAR has confirmed that The Undertaker will be appearing at the NASCAR at COTA on Sunday as he takes on the role of the Honorary Pace Car driver while leading the field with the green flag. This is the kind of things fans of Taker couldn’t imagine him doing with his old-school Deadman gimmick, one he lived in the public eye for decades without breaking character.
Mark Calaway revealed that he is honored to be leading the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix in Austin with the Honorary Pace Car. He also brought up WrestleMania as it is also scheduled for the first week of April.
I am honored to be the Honorary Pace Car driver at the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix in Austin. It’s a big week for Texas with WrestleMania in Dallas on April 2 and April 3, and I am excited to kick it off at Circuit of The Americas.
Calaway is a Texas native, and properly suited to take on this honor. He has been one of the most iconic WWE superstars with decades worth of constant delivery and innovative character portrayals which have immortalized him as one of the biggest WWE stars of all time. He is also set to receive an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, a long overdo honor.
