Vince McMahon Ordered Brock Lesnar & Bobby Lashley Weigh-In To Be A Worked Segment

By | January 25, 2022

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley will finally lock horns at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble premium live event. The WWE Championship will be on the line after The Beast defeated four other men at WWE Day 1 to capture the title. The two legitimate MMA powerhouses are set to provide the WWE Universe a matchup they’ve been looking forward to for years.

On last night’s Monday Night Raw, there was a weigh-in segment for the title bout. Both wrestlers weighed in at their announced weights, rather than their actual weights. For those keeping score, that’s 273 lbs. for Bobby Lashley and 286 lbs. for Brock Lesnar.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez was talking about the segment and stated that Brock looked like he weighed every bit of 286 pounds. Dave Meltzer said it could even be more. The weights that were used were worked.

“You know those weights are worked, right? He might be more, for all I know. The whole thing is a work. Because, the deal is, they decided that since Bobby Lashley is announced at 273 pounds and Brock Lesnar is now at 286 pounds, that that’s gonna be the numbers. So, everything about that was just, um. That was the decision Vince made. That our announced weights have to be real. So, therefore, when they weigh in, it has to be exactly their announced weights no matter what they actually weigh.”

WWE was likely trying to avoid a disaster such as the one that happened in AEW in May of 2021. Cody Rhodes and Anthony Ogogo had a disastrous weigh in segment that saw Paul Wight flailing to keep things moving. This effectively prevented any such situation.

Whether their weights are worked or legit, the WWE Universe can’t wait to see these two titans get it on. Two freak athletes who happen to also be very skilled fighters will go at it for the WWE Championship. Brock Lesnar is hoping to get the victory and set up a champion vs champion match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
