WWE Postpones SmackDown Event In October

By | August 30, 2021

WWE has a full schedule of live events with intentions of getting to every market after such a long absence during the pandemic. Fans in New Orleans will have to wait a bit longer to see SmackDown.

The company announced that the October 1st SmackDown event will no longer take place in New Orleans. They have postponed the event and original tickets will be honored for their new date in 2022.

The #SmackDown live event scheduled for October 1 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans has been postponed. All original tickets will be honored for the new 2022 date.

#SmackDown on October 1 will now take place at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore.

It was not noted why this event was rescheduled, but they will get back to New Orleans in 2022. No new date was given for 2022.

The company already has Baltimore lined up, so they aren’t without a venue that night. Hopefully, WWE can make it back to New Orleans soon, because that city is rich in WWE history.
