The Ravens’ offense struggled in the first half on “Thursday Night Football,” and Lamar Jackson will be without his top receiving option for the rest of the contest.
Tight end Mark Andrews left in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. The team intially announced that Andrews was questionable to return, and then said later that he was out.
After a Week 7 performance with no catches, Andrews had two for 24 yards within the first two plays of the Week 8 game. But he and Jackson connected just once after that. Andrews left the game with three catches for 33 yards.

Andrews was not the only loss for Baltimore. Wide receiver (foot) Rashod Bateman was ruled out and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (hamstring) was ruled questionable to return.

The 27-year-old Andrews has been Jackson’s go-to receiver. He leads Baltimore in receptions (39), targets (59), receiving yards (455) and receiving touchdowns (five). Among NFL tight ends, only Travis Kelce has better numbers in those four categories.

With Andrews out, Jackson and the Baltimore offense will turn to Isaiah Likely and Josh Oliver to step up at tight end. Likely had three catches for 34 yards in the first half while Oliver had one reception for 4 yards.
