Cowboys’ Micah Parsons mocks Amon-Ra St. Brown’s pitch to bring Jalen Ramsey to Lions

Micah Parsons is taking a trip to Detroit Mock City.

We’ve reached the point in the NFL offseason where players are preempting the league’s legal tampering period, which is about three weeks away. Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recently got in on the flirting.

With Jalen Ramsey’s future in Los Angeles somewhat of a question mark given his contract and the Rams entering a few lean years, St. Brown made his pitch to bring the All-Pro cornerback to Detroit in the event he hits the open market.

“Jalen, if you can hear this, I know you played with (quarterback Jared) Goff before. Detroit might seem like a landing spot, my guy. Talk to me, talk to me,” St. Brown said.

Ramsey followed up on St. Brown’s wish, tweeting out something of a non-denial denial in response:

“lol much love to @JaredGoff16 & @amonra_stbrown … tried my hardest to get y’all in them playoffs this year. I won’t comment on my future tho. We shall see 😂,” he tweeted.

St. Brown’s pitch sparked something of interesting love triangle. Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has fast developed a reputation for being one of the league’s more outspoken players, caught wind of St. Brown’s plea and took to Twitter to dispel the idea of Ramsey heading to the Lions.

“I’m sorry no one going from la to Detroit 😂😂😂,” Parsons tweeted.

While Detroit is a fine town, Parsons has something of a point. Going from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to the Motor City certainly doesn’t seem like the most appealing move for an NFL player.

To that end, Ramsey seems pretty certain he won’t be released. Recently, he tweeted out that he won’t be cut, leading to potential trade rumors if the Rams decide to move on:

“100% chance I WONT get cut 😂… God bless tho,” he said in mid-February.

Still, stranger roster moves have happened, and there have certainly been some crazy, crazy nights during the NFL offseason.
