Where to watch IndyCar race for free: Live stream, TV channel, start time for 2025 Long Beach Grand Prix

By | April 13, 2025

The IndyCar Series will roll through the sun-soaked streets of downtown Long Beach on Sunday.

Fresh off back-to-back wins at St. Petersburg and Thermal, the reigning two-time champion Alex Palou has built an early lead in the standings that already feels daunting for the rest of the grid.

Long Beach’s 1.968-mile, 11-turn street circuit now includes five more laps than in previous editions, with drivers having 200 seconds of push-to-pass at their disposal, limited to bursts of 20 seconds at a time.

In four previous outings at Long Beach, Palou has never finished worse than fifth, with two podiums to his name. Given his superb form and familiarity with this track, it’ll take something extraordinary to knock him off the top spot this weekend.

While Alex Palou enters Long Beach as the clear favourite, he won’t have shortage of competition. Among them are Kyle Kirkwood, who triumphed in 2023, Josef Newgarden (2022), Colton Herta (2021), Alexander Rossi (back-to-back triumphs in 2018 and 2019) and veteran Will Power, a two-time winner on this circuit back in 2008 and 2012.

The 2025 Long Beach Grand Prix IndyCar race is finally here and for all your time, TV and streaming details, look no further than The Sporting News for a full guide.
