Carrington was ruled out for Chicago’s game against the New York Liberty on Wednesday, but Chicago State of Mind reported that she is getting close to returning.

The Sky do not play again until July 30, when they host the Connecticut Sun at Wintrust Arena. That matchup could provide an appropriate stage for Carrington’s Chicago debut, as she spent the first four seasons of her WNBA career with Connecticut.
Carrington signed a one-year contract with the Sky in April following a 2025 season split between the Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx. She averaged 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 31 regular-season appearances.
