Please note that while Halo Infinite was initially listed as a launch game, it was announced in August that it would be delayed until early 2021. Third party exclusive game Scorn had also been rumored to be a launch game, but has also since been delayed to early 2021.

Several games will also be available during the launch window for the Xbox Series X, including Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War (Nov 13th), and Cyberpunk 2077 (Nov 19th)

In addition to the above launch games, it has been confirmed that both the Xbox Series X and Series S will support all playable games on the Xbox One – which include currently supported Xbox 360 and original Xbox games. However, those that require a Kinect senor may not be compatible.

Additionally, Xbox Series S users should note that the Series S will not support the Xbox One X enhancements that were given to many Xbox 360 and original Xbox games. Instead, the Xbox Series S will run the same backwards compatibility feature as the Xbox One S – applying improved texture filtering, better frame rates, and faster load times with HDR.
