Sonya Deville Doesn’t See End To Her Role As WWE Official Any Time Soon

By | June 23, 2021

Sonya Deville lost a loser leaves WWE match at last year’s SummerSlam event and she took off for months. Then Deville returned as a WWE Official. That role has worked out well for Sonya Deville so far, but fans miss seeing Sonya put her hair up and squaring up.

While talking to WWE The Bump today, Deville was asked about her current role alongside Adam Pearce. She is having a lot of fun working with Pearce and they have a lot in common as well, but of course they are going to butt heads.

“Working with Pearce is fun. I feel like we both have a lot in common. We do have strong personalities, so obviously, with that, we’re going to butt heads. I’m an alpha, and he’s an alpha. At the end of the day, we pretty much can come to agreements and be professionals. We have talked about his suits. I’m not gonna say I influenced him, but his suits have gotten more fitted the past couple of weeks. You’re welcome, Mr. Pearce.”

When it comes to getting back to action, Deville is not giving up that pursuit either. She will transition from wearing a suit and tie to her wrestling gear again, but she’s happy with her current role.

“You know, I love what I’m doing right now. I think it’s a natural fit. I’m a leader in life, and I think it transitions well into a suit and tie. I love being in charge, so I’m content with where I am right now.”

“At the end of the day, of course, I’m a fighter, but I’m really enjoying growing and learning in this role. I don’t see an end to it anytime soon.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that Sonya Deville’s return to the ring has been pushed back a couple of times. She was slated to return around WrestleMania season, but that didn’t happen. She is still waiting for an in-ring return, but Deville is also thriving in her current role and maintaining plenty of visibility on WWE television.

What’s your take on this situation? Will Sonya Deville ever make an in-ring return, and how should she come back? Sound off in the comments!
